met up with a fellow zinester yesterday.
got a little bummed out by his 30-year-old broodiness
of 'my 20-year-old-self would be disappointed in my
non-starving-artist self of present' but was very appreciative
of his kind (borrowed) offering of a saddle stapler
(which is apparently nonexistent in the parsons school of design community,
despite their extravagant printing facilities)

so. the news is that i printed the second batch of zines
(this is version 2 and on the inside you can see that it was
edited 2.2.6; i went through it again yesterday and am hoping
that the 3d version will be even more perfect (ie: free from weird spacing
and that misspelling of that as thet ..that probably only i managed to notice.)
but, yeah, these are limited editions, baby, stapled by moi
on my kitchen floor in the east village apartment i'll be leaving all too soon.

i've even sat on most of these to try to make the folding a little more..simple.
so, not only were nails broken and my dna smeared all over these
(i sold one recently to a kid at school with some of my blood on it.gross.
he seemed to dig it.)but my ass has rested on them possibly too.

my loving stalkers and fellow online dating types and other people who
are interested in supporting me/my work and/or the dying art of zine making,
make your purchase here..

---
ALSO: news about ISSUE 1 of THE SKYE IS FALLING--
because i'm sort of feeling meh about reprinting it,
what i think i will do (once my schedule frees up) is scan it
and put it up online for your viewing pleasure
on my (hopefully) very soon to-be-launched website.

---
oh, and guess what TODAY is?
TODAY feels like a dye&cut yer hair to feel cheerier day.
watch for photos tomorrow(maybe).

if you have received a zine, i'd really like a little bit of feedback.

plenty of people who have bought one don't read/know about
this journal, but even just a few comments would be tremendously
appreciated. critiques as well as approval of something specific
are of course all welcome.

yes, well, i'll stop talking about it in a few weeks.

probably.

a limited number of THE SKYE IS FALLING (second) issues are now available at
ST. MARK'S BOOKSHOP, for 4.50$

this is the first time i've tried selling my writing outside my direct circles,
and though i'm technically losing a buck off each, most of the printing costs
are recovered, and as long as word gets out there, that's all that matters.

/i'm feeling: self-congratulatory.

craigslist zine on craigslist.

let's just see how much crap i'll get for this,
considering the number of people who were bitchy
last time i asked for dinner:
